Baked Granola Apples
Decadent low carb, keto friendly baked granola apples are a treat any time. Living low carb sugar free? Do you feel that apples and granola are not allowed? Apples are full of fiber and score low on the glycemic index so have minimal effect on blood sugar. Paired with some melted butter, keto granola, a little sprinkling of cinnamon sugar using a good quality sugar substitute and topped with some heavy whipping cream, this is the perfect treat.
Baked Granola Apples
You can enjoy this decadent baked granola apples dessert if you are living low carb, sugar free. Apples are high fiber, low glycemic, low carb. This recipe stuffs the apples with a crunchy keto granola and a little butter and cinnamon sugar, topped with whipping cream.

Ingredients
- 2 medium sized apples cored and halved
- 1 Tbsp sugar substitute
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 Cups Keto Hana Granola
- 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
- 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F degrees.
- Cut apples in half and core centers out with spoon.
- With a knife , slice 1/2" slices, not going all the way through across each apple.
- Place apples flat side down in a baking dish or skillet.
- Melt 1 Tbsp butter and brush apples with butter. Mix cinnamon and sugar together, and sprinkle over tops of apples.
- Bake apples for 12 minutes, until soft enough to open slices easily.
- Meanwhile, beat 1/2 Cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Place 2 cups of granola in a bowl, and pour 1 Tbsp melted butter in bowl and mix well.
- Remove apples from oven, and carefully fill slices with granola mixture. Top remaining granola mixture over all apples. Bake another 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, and top with heavy whipping cream and sprinkle of cinnamon. Enjoy!
