Star Spangled Caprese

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz. Fresh Mozzarella
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Fresh blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp Fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice mozzarella and tomatoes to even thickness.
  • Using a knife or star shaped cookie cutter, cut out three small stars from mozzarella. Set aside.
  • On a rectangle tray or cutting board, start layering tomato slices first 4-5 slices on top right corner, leaving left side open for blueberries & stars.
  • Start layering mozzarella slices on the second row using 6-7 slices. Repeat so you alternate two rows of tomatoes and two rows of mozzarella. Top row of tomatoes being the shortest.
  • Add the blueberries to the left corner, stars on top of blueberries.
  • Salt and pepper the tray. Drizzle with oive oil and balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with chopped basil.
